By accessing or using TariffCalc (tariffcalc.ca), you agree to be bound by these terms of service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you must not use the service. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes become effective upon posting to this page.
TariffCalc provides Canadian customs duty estimates, AI-assisted Harmonized System (HS) code classification, trade agreement information, surtax detection, and SIMA measure alerts. The service is offered in English and French.
TariffCalc is NOT a licensed customs broker and does not provide legal or customs advice. All results, including HS code classifications, duty rates, surtaxes, and landed costs, are estimates provided for informational purposes only. Actual duties and taxes are determined exclusively by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). Duty rates, surtaxes, and trade measures may change without notice. TariffCalc calculations do not replace official CBSA advance rulings or the advice of a licensed customs broker.
By using TariffCalc, you agree not to:
TariffCalc content, design, source code, classification algorithms, and AI models are protected by copyright and Canadian intellectual property laws. Raw tariff data is sourced from public Government of Canada sources. You retain ownership of your calculation and classification data. TariffCalc does not claim any rights to the data you submit.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without cause, if you breach these terms or misuse the service. You may also delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.
TariffCalc is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. In no event shall TariffCalc, its officers, employees, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to losses resulting from inaccurate duty calculations, incorrect classifications, or undetected surtaxes.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TariffCalc from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or your violation of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Montreal, Quebec.
